Future Work

Next steps in the project

Work on properties of non-Port public jurisdictions—Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT), Seattle Public Utilities, Highline Public Schools, Burien, SeaTac, Des Moines—is scheduled to begin in 2017/2018. Work on residential and commercial properties is scheduled to begin in 2018/2019. Additional environmental review, including public outreach and a comment period, will occur before any work ensues on non-Port public jurisdictions, residential and commercial properties.

Most of the obstructions being removed and replaced are located on Port- and WSDOT-owned property, as summarized on the following graph and chart:
